Luxiang Garden China

Starting from the site and its surrounding environment, the goal was to create a city architectural image with a profound cultural heritage, reflecting the Shanghai tradition of lanes house Shikumen style architecture for the townhouses and Art Deco for the high rise apartments. This project has a great impact on the revitalization of the surrounding area.

Town Houses: In order to maintain the charm of the original old city features and the deep cultural heritage of the site with its surrounding environment, the townhouses were designed in the form of a modern lane residential complex.

The design continued the traditional lane form, street-scale and street interface characteristics. The design reflects the architectural features and characteristics of Luxiang Garden Shikumen style architecture of the 1920s, blending Chinese and Western architectural elements. It embodies the cultural connotation of Luxiang Garden. High-rise

Apartments: GDG adopted the Art Deco style for Luxiang Garden high rise apartments based on the inherent richness of the Art Deco style with its geometrical patterns and elements. The Art Deco style has a deep and rich tradition in the city of Shanghai. The characteristics of the Art Deco style helps promote the image and value of this area. The vertical lines imbue the exterior with elegance, grace, and strength.
