Xiamen Lakeside Shopping Centre is a planned public facility shopping area that incorporates local culture and architecture as well as introducing contemporary forms and ideas. GDG balanced the architectural expression with the influences of the site. The project brings together the qualities of the different urban districts and orchestrates a new environment. Xiamen lakeside shopping expresses the symbolic representation of Gulang heritage, the class, and elegance of the surrounding environment with a provocative dynamism.

Xiamen shopping is open with a variable character providing an opportunity of retail, habitat and leisure activities, set in a stimulating environment that creates urban life. The design reacts to the city of Xiamen and its heritage. It addresses the commercial needs and vision of the future opportunities in Xiamen. The project’s goal is to establish a popular shopping entertainment location in Xiamen, to create a total experience for the shopper. It will be a place ideal for families and individual who wish for a memorable shopping day.
