The site is located in the center of Shanghai Puxi in the Jinan District. The area is a busy commercial neighborhood. The site is 200,000 sqm. The program was a complicated design task. The scope of the project entailed the adaptive reuse of existing Shikumen lane houses and villa into retail space.

The program also included the design of two modern office towers as well as a podium containing commercial space. The lane houses cover the southeast part of the site and will remain in that location. The villa was relocated to the southeast corner and acts as the gate to the entrance of the site, which is on Ruijin Road. The modern office towers sit at the north end of the site, rising up like a beacon.
